Red Carpet's Artist Spotlight: Michael Zito
discusses his role in A CHORUS LINE
RCTP: Tell me about the first time you saw A Chorus Line , did you ever think you would have the opportunity to be cast in the show, and what makes you want to be a part of this production?
MZ: "The first time I saw "A Chorus Line", I was in complete awe. I couldn't believe that someone had developed a show that shows the struggle, determination, and passion of a performer. It has always been a dream of mine to be in "A Chorus Line", and its finally come true. With such a beautifully composed score, fearless choreography, and true to life stories, any performer would be crazy to not want to be part of such a production."

RCTP: What Character do you play in A Chorus Line and do you have any similarities in common with your character?
MZ: "The part that I am playing in "A Chorus Line" is "Paul". Surprisingly, I am realizing that we have more in common the further we get into rehearsal. We both have the passion of performing, and not knowing how to do anything else. We try our hardest and put everything into it hoping that the outcome is positive."

RCTP: A Chorus Line was conceived and originally Directed/Choreographed by Buffalo’s own Michael Bennett. If he were here today, what do you think his thoughts would be about the level of talent in this current production, with most of the talent coming from the Western New York Region?
MZ: "First off, THANK YOU MICHAEL BENNETT for creating such a fantastic show. With that said, I believe that Michael would be very pleased with all of our hard work and dedication. We have such talented individuals and bringing them together creates such a shining cast. Everyone has hopes and aspirations of their own, and you will definitely see that in this production."
RCTP: What do you like most about working with Red Carpet Theater Productions?
MZ: "It has been a pleasure working Red Carpet Theater Productions. They are such a professional company everywhere from rehearsal locations, schedules, and final product. I would recommend anyone to be involved with Red Carpet Theater Productions."
